O'Hare Terminal Pickup Guide

No wandering, no guessing. This is exactly where your chauffeur meets you at every O'Hare terminal — Terminals 1, 2, 3, and 5 — whether you choose meet & greet inside at baggage claim or a quick curbside pickup on the arrivals level. Plus how it differs from rideshare, and the one rule that makes every pickup smooth.

What this guide covers

O'Hare lower arrivals level where pre-arranged cars pick up
Lower level Arrivals, not the rideshare deck
The golden rule

Head down to arrivals, not up

O'Hare's terminals all share the same basic shape: an upper level for departures and a lower level for arrivals and baggage claim. When you fly in, everything you need is downstairs — your bags, and your ride. The single most useful thing to know is this: a pre-arranged car service like ours meets you on that lower arrivals level or inside at baggage claim — not at the upper-level zone where rideshare and app-based cars queue.

From there you have two simple choices: have your chauffeur come inside to meet you at baggage claim with a name sign, or step out to the arrivals curb where we pull up. Either way your flight is tracked in real time, so the timing follows your actual landing, and we'll text you the exact spot for your terminal on the day.

The rest of this guide breaks down each terminal, the international arrivals hall at Terminal 5, and how it all differs from a rideshare. For the full airport walkthrough, see the O'Hare airport guide.

Two ways we meet you

Meet & greet or curbside

Both are easy and both are flight-tracked — it just comes down to how hands-on you want the pickup to be. Choose when you book, or decide on the day.

Meet & greet (inside)

Most personal

Your chauffeur parks, comes into the terminal, and waits at baggage claim holding a sign with your name. They help with your bags and walk you out to the vehicle. Best for international arrivals, first-time visitors, families, VIPs, and anyone who'd rather not look around.

Where Inside, at baggage claim

Curbside (arrivals level)

Quick & easy

Grab your bags, then text or call. Your chauffeur pulls up to the lower-level arrivals curb outside your terminal and you're off in moments. Perfect when you're traveling light or know O'Hare well.

Where Lower / arrivals curb

Cell Phone Lot staging

Behind the scenes

Either way, your chauffeur waits free at O'Hare's Cell Phone Lot until you're ready, then comes to the curb or terminal — so there's no circling, no early-arrival fee, and no pressure if you're running behind.

You'll always get the exact spot

Terminals are big, and meeting points can shift with construction. That's why your chauffeur texts you their name, vehicle, and the precise door or vestibule for your terminal once you land — so you walk straight to the car. Add meet & greet to any reservation.

Terminal by terminal

Where we meet you at each terminal

O'Hare has four passenger terminals — 1, 2, 3, and 5 (there's no Terminal 4). Baggage claim is on the lower level at every one, and that's the level where we meet you. Here's the quick map, then the detail.

Terminal 1

United hub

Home to United (with Lufthansa and ANA). Two concourses, B and C, are joined by the landmark lighted underground walkway. Follow Baggage Claim down to the lower level; we meet you there with a sign or at the arrivals curb just outside.

Meet at T1 baggage claim / lower curb

Terminal 2

Regional & partners

United Express, Air Canada, and JetBlue, among others. Baggage claim is on the lower level; we meet you inside or curbside there. (Terminal 2's upper level is also where rideshare queues — but that's not where we are.)

Meet at T2 baggage claim / lower curb

Terminal 3

American hub

American's base, plus Alaska, British Airways, Aer Lingus, Iberia, and Japan Airlines. Collect bags on the lower level; your chauffeur meets you at baggage claim with a name sign or at the arrivals curb outside.

Meet at T3 baggage claim / lower curb

Terminal 5

International gateway

Delta, Southwest, Frontier, and most international arrivals, with U.S. Customs here. Domestic flyers use the lower-level claim and curb; international travelers exit into the arrivals hall after customs, where meet & greet is ideal.

Meet at T5 arrivals hall / lower curb

Airline-to-terminal assignments can change — always confirm your terminal on your boarding pass. Whatever it says, your chauffeur will be on the lower arrivals level for it. A full terminal map & directions shows how the terminals connect.

Meeting you at Terminal 5

If you're arriving from overseas, you'll almost always land at Terminal 5 and clear immigration, collect your bags, and pass through U.S. Customs before reaching the public arrivals hall. (Preclearance flights from Canada and Ireland are the exception — they land at a domestic terminal already cleared.) Here's exactly how the meet works.

  1. 1Clear immigration & customs. Passport control, baggage claim, then customs — all inside the secure area at Terminal 5.
  2. 2Exit into the arrivals hall. Once you walk out the customs doors into the public T5 arrivals hall, that's where your chauffeur is waiting.
  3. 3Look for your name. With meet & greet, your chauffeur is holding a sign with your name and ready to take the luggage.
  4. 4We planned for the wait. Because customs timing is unpredictable, we track your landing and build in a buffer — no meter running while you clear.
  5. 5Connecting onward? If you're re-checking bags for a domestic flight, tell us at booking and we'll plan around it.

How the handoff actually happens

Behind every smooth pickup is O'Hare's free Cell Phone Lot at 560 N. Bessie Coleman Drive. Your chauffeur stages there at no charge while your flight finishes and you collect your bags — so there's no circling the terminals, no idling at the curb, and no early-arrival fee.

The moment you're ready, the timing clicks into place: for a curbside pickup, you text or call when you have your luggage and we pull up within minutes; for meet & greet, your chauffeur heads inside to baggage claim to meet you. Either way, we time it to your actual landing thanks to real-time flight tracking.

It's a small piece of airport geography that makes a big difference — it's why our pickups feel calm instead of rushed, even at peak times or after a delay.

Vs. rideshare zones

Why our pickup is different

App-based rideshare and taxis are sent to designated upper-level "Ride App Zones," which means a walk (or a train ride) and a queue. Knowing the difference helps you head the right way when you land.

O'Hare's rideshare zones and signage can change — these are the typical locations. The point is simple: with us, you don't go up to the rideshare deck or ride a train to it. We meet you down on arrivals. See parking vs. car service for the full cost picture.

When you land

From gate to car, step by step

Put it all together and a pickup is genuinely effortless. Here's the whole flow once your wheels touch down at O'Hare.

  1. 1Turn your phone on. Off airplane mode, you'll have a text from your chauffeur with their name, vehicle, and your exact meeting spot.
  2. 2Head down to baggage claim. Follow the Baggage Claim signs to the lower level — the arrivals level, where we meet you.
  3. 3Collect your bags. Check the monitors for your carousel. Carry-on only? Even quicker.
  4. 4Meet inside or step to the curb. For meet & greet, find your name at baggage claim. For curbside, text us and walk out to the lower arrivals lane.
  5. 5Bags loaded, doors closed. Your chauffeur handles the luggage and you settle in — no rideshare line, no surge, no train to another terminal.
  6. 6Home, hotel, or downtown. Enjoy a flat-rate ride anywhere across Chicagoland.

Terminal pickup FAQ

Your questions, answered

Where exactly do you pick me up at O'Hare? +
On the lower (arrivals) level of your terminal — either inside at baggage claim with meet & greet, or at the arrivals curb just outside. Your chauffeur texts you the exact door or vestibule for your terminal once you land, so you walk straight to the car. We do not use the upper-level rideshare zones.
Which terminal will my flight arrive at? +
Generally United is Terminal 1, American is Terminal 3, and Delta, Southwest, and Frontier — plus most international flights — are Terminal 5. Terminal 2 handles United Express and partners. Confirm on your boarding pass; whatever it says, we'll meet you on that terminal's lower arrivals level. See the terminal map.
What's the difference between meet & greet and curbside? +
With meet & greet, your chauffeur comes inside to baggage claim, holds a sign with your name, and helps with your bags. With curbside, you grab your bags and we pull up to the lower arrivals curb when you text. Both are flight-tracked; meet & greet is the easiest after a long or international flight.
Where do I meet you for an international arrival? +
At Terminal 5, after you clear immigration, baggage, and U.S. Customs, you exit into the public arrivals hall — your chauffeur is waiting there with a name sign. Preclearance flights from Canada and Ireland arrive at a domestic terminal instead, where the usual baggage-claim pickup applies.
Is there a Terminal 4? +
No — O'Hare's terminals are 1, 2, 3, and 5; the number 4 is skipped. Terminal 5 is the main international terminal.
How is this different from a rideshare pickup? +
Rideshare and app cars are sent to upper-level Ride App Zones (around doors 2A–2F at Terminal 2 and 3G–3K at Terminal 3, with Terminals 1 and 5 riding the ATS to reach them). We come to you on the lower arrivals level or inside at baggage claim — no train, no upper-deck queue, and a flat rate with no surge.
What if my flight is delayed or early? +
We track it and adjust automatically — your chauffeur waits free at the Cell Phone Lot and comes when you're actually down and ready. There's no need to call and no charge for the delay itself. More on arrivals & flight tracking.
How will I recognize my chauffeur and vehicle? +
After you land, you'll get a text with your chauffeur's name, a description of the vehicle, and your exact meeting point. For meet & greet, just look for your name on the sign at baggage claim.
