O'Hare has four passenger terminals — 1, 2, 3, and 5 (there's no Terminal 4). Terminals 1, 2, and 3 sit together in the main core and are connected, while Terminal 5 — the international terminal — is a short ride away. Inside each, the layout is consistent: an upper level for departures and check-in and a lower level for arrivals and baggage claim.
Each terminal branches into lettered concourses (your gate will be something like "C12" or "K9"), and a free train called the ATS ties everything together, including the remote parking and rental-car hub. Once you know your terminal and concourse, getting around is genuinely simple — and the maps above show every detail.
Flying in and want to skip the navigation entirely? We meet you at baggage claim or the arrivals curb — see the terminal pickup guide and full airport guide.
The Airport Transit System (ATS) is O'Hare's free, automated train, and it's the key to moving around. It runs around the clock and connects all four terminals with the Multi-Modal Facility — the hub for economy parking, rental cars, and the Metra commuter station.
Connecting from an international arrival at Terminal 5 to a domestic flight? You'll typically re-check bags, take the ATS to your departure terminal, and clear security again. The airport guide walks through it.
A quick reference to who flies where and how each terminal is organized — then open the matching map for the full detail. Airline assignments can change, so confirm on your boarding pass.

Tip Or skip parking entirely
At 560 N. Bessie Coleman Dr., this free lot is where your chauffeur stages until you're at the curb — no circling, no early-arrival fees.
For Smooth pickups
The CTA Blue Line station sits beneath the core terminals and runs to downtown — handy, but slow with luggage and not ideal pre-dawn. Door-to-door is easier.
Runs O'Hare ↔ the Loop
Taxis, shuttles, rideshare zones, and pre-arranged cars all operate from the arrivals level. We meet you at baggage claim or the arrivals curb — not the rideshare deck.

Maps are great for finding your gate — but the simplest way out of O'Hare is to have a chauffeur waiting where you land. No tracking down a parking shuttle, no rideshare deck, no train with your bags.
